Fundraising Update: Ho Hey! We’re at 97 percent!

Posted by on Apr 5, 2016

With the Grand Opening of KEXP’s New Home less than two weeks away, we’re closing in on the $15 million dollar fundraising goal for the capital campaign. As of Tuesday, April 5, we’re at 97 percent! On Friday, April 1, the Lumineers played a special New Home benefit at the Columbia City Theater. A packed house of music lovers was treated to a preview of songs from the Denver band’s forthcoming album, Cleopatra, as well as favorites from their 2012 self-titled debut, sing-alongs, and a Q&A conducted by John Richards (who also played a huge role in organizing the event). This fundraiser was a couple years in the making, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and helped make it happen. All told, this unforgettable night generated $50,000 to help build KEXP’s New Home—including a generous donation directly from the Lumineers. Between this and other events, campaigns, and gifts, more than $14.5 million has now been committed to help build KEXP’s New Home. Thank you for your continued...
